In a test of my nascent marketing skills I challenged myself to get a newspaper article printed. I contacted my local paper and sent them an idea for an article ' What links the World Nomad Games in Kazakhstan and Leighton Buzzard?' - who wouldn't read that!
They responded very quickly and were definitely interested. The journalist sent me a huge list of questions which I spent the best part of a day answering. A day later the article was online and then printed in the physical newspaper a couple of weeks after that.
I've had a lot of positive feedback from this and the local bookshop ordered more copies of my book. So, all in all, a great bit of marketing.
